The Head Coello Pro 2026 is Arturo Coello’s signature racket and the top of Head’s Coello line: a diamond with a 475 cm² head, a carbon hybrid face, a Power Foam core, a weight of 370 g and a high balance of 272 mm. Head labels it a finisher with explosive power, calls the feel hard and aims it at tournament and expert players.
It costs $374.95, the same on Head’s US store and on the US listing. Head describes this version as updated, and the 2025 version, the Head Coello Pro 2025, showed $219.95 with 7 units left at the time of writing, although we could not find it on Head’s US store. This review covers the build, the specs, how it should play, how it differs from the 2025 version and the rest of the Coello line, and who should buy it.

Our review of the Head Coello Pro
The Coello Pro is Head’s most direct power racket. Every label on the Head page points the same way: finisher, explosive power, diamond and hard. Head says the 370 g weight gives stability and momentum on attacking shots, and that it needs solid technique and strength to handle, which is the honest summary of a heavy, high-balance diamond.
The face is the part Head says was updated. The carbon hybrid is a woven mix of carbon fiber and fiberglass with a higher carbon percentage, which should feel firmer and more explosive than the hybrid woven face on the 2025 version while keeping some touch. Power Foam supplies the ball exit, and Auxetic 2.0 is there for feel, which matters on a hard racket.
We have not played it ourselves, so this is an assessment of Head’s spec sheet and the US listing. On paper it is a specialist weapon for strong, technical attackers, and at $374.95 it is also one of the pricier rackets we cover.
Pros
- High balance and 370 g for power on smashes and the vibora
- Carbon hybrid face for a firm, explosive response, per Head
- Power Stabilizer and a stiffer frame for stability
- Arturo Coello’s signature design and price that matches Head’s store
Cons
- Hard feel and a high balance are demanding
- $374.95 is a premium price
- 370 g is heavy for lighter players
- Not suited to beginners or sensitive arms
Who is the Head Coello Pro for?
The Coello Pro suits strong advanced players who finish points with smashes, the vibora and fast volleys, and who want Arturo Coello’s signature racket. It also suits players who liked the 2025 version and want a firmer, more explosive face.
Who the Head Coello Pro is not for
Skip it if you are new to padel, if your arm is sensitive or if you play a control game. A heavy, hard diamond is demanding, and our tennis elbow racket guide lists softer options. Intermediates should look at the Head Coello Team or the Head Coello Motion.
What to know before you buy the Head Coello Pro
Weight and balance
Head lists 370 g (13.1 oz), which it calls heavy-weight, and a high balance of 272 mm. The US listing adds a 475 cm² head, a 38 mm beam and a 455 mm length.
2026 versus the 2025 Coello Pro
Head describes the 2026 racket as updated, and we could not find the 2025 version on Head’s US store. The 2025 listing gives 370 g, a 272 mm balance, a diamond shape, Auxetic 2.0 and a hybrid woven face, so the weight and balance carry over. The 2026 face has a higher carbon percentage, and the Head Coello Pro 2025 is the softer, cheaper option.
Price and stock
The US listing showed $374.95 and 13 units at the time of writing, the same price as Head’s US store. The 2025 version showed $219.95, which is about $155 less, so check the current offers.
How the Head Coello Pro plays
Smashes and the vibora: The high balance and the firm face are built for overheads. Our guides to the kick smash and the vibora cover the technique.
Volleys: Power Stabilizer and the stiffer frame should keep the head stable on hard volleys.
Defense: A heavy, hard diamond is never the easiest racket to defend with, and the balance asks for good timing.
Spin: Extreme Spin adds traction for the bandeja and topspin.
Head Coello Pro vs the alternatives
Inside Head, the Coello Motion is the 360 g carbon diamond, the Coello Team is the fibreglass-faced diamond and the Extreme Pro is the 370 g hybrid woven diamond. Outside Head, the Wilson Defy Pro V1 (~$349) and the Adidas Metalbone HRD+ 3.5 (~$455) are comparable power diamonds. Our best rackets for advanced players guide compares the wider field.
Is the Head Coello Pro worth it?
At $374.95, the Coello Pro is expensive, and the 2025 version offers the same weight and balance for about $155 less. It is worth it for a strong attacker who specifically wants the updated carbon hybrid face and Arturo Coello’s signature.
Conclusion
The Head Coello Pro is a heavy, hard, high-balance diamond with a carbon hybrid face, Power Foam and Auxetic 2.0. Its strengths are the power, the stability and the signature design. Its weaknesses are the price and a demanding feel.
Choose it if you attack and want the updated Coello racket. If you want a softer feel or a lower price, see the Head Coello Pro 2025 or the Extreme Pro, and browse our best padel rackets roundup for every level.
