Head Coello Motion

The Head Coello Motion is the mid-tier racket in Head’s Coello line — a carbon-faced diamond with a Power Foam core and Auxetic 2.0, built for advancing attackers who want Arturo Coello’s power profile with more bite than the entry Coello Team but less demand than the pro Coello Pro.

The Motion sits between the soft, fibreglass Coello Team and the full-pro Coello Pro. It keeps the head-heavy diamond shape and adds carbon faces and a rough Extreme Spin finish, so it hits harder and grips the ball for more spin — while Power Foam and Auxetic 2.0 keep the feel responsive rather than punishing.

Our review of the Head Coello Motion

The Coello Motion is the racket to reach for if the fibreglass Coello Team feels too soft but the Coello Pro is too much. The carbon faces give a firmer, more powerful strike and the Extreme Spin surface really does bite the ball, so kicks and topspin smashes have extra teeth. Power Foam and Auxetic 2.0 stop it feeling harsh.

It’s still a diamond, so the sweet spot sits high and it rewards good technique — mishits drop. But for an advancing attacker chasing the Coello look and a genuine step up in pace and spin, the Motion is the sweet spot in the range.

Pros

  • Carbon-faced power and bite
  • Extreme Spin grips for heavy spin
  • Power Foam + Auxetic 2.0 keep it responsive
  • Coello styling at a mid-tier price

Cons

  • Demands decent technique (high sweet spot)
  • Head-heavy — tiring over long sessions
  • Too much racket for beginners

Who is the Head Coello Motion for?

The Coello Motion is for intermediate-to-advanced attackers who want power and spin in a diamond and are ready for a carbon face. If you want the softer, more forgiving version, the Head Coello Team is the easier pick; if you want the full pro racket, step up to the Head Coello Pro.

How the Head Coello Motion plays

On smashes it’s a weapon — carbon faces and a head-heavy balance deliver real pace, and the Extreme Spin surface adds kick.

On control and defence it asks for clean contact; the diamond shape favours attack over block-and-counter, though Power Foam softens the impact.

Head Coello Motion vs the alternatives

It’s the middle child of Head’s Coello line — more power and spin than the forgiving Coello Team, more accessible than the demanding Coello Pro. Against the Head Extreme Pro it’s a touch more controlled, and it out-powers value frames like the Head Vibe.

Is the Head Coello Motion worth it?

If you’ve outgrown a soft entry diamond and want Coello’s carbon-faced power without paying for the pro racket, the Motion is worth it — it’s the most rounded frame in the Coello line for an improving attacker.

Conclusion

The Head Coello Motion is the Coello line’s sweet spot — a carbon-faced power diamond with Extreme Spin bite, kept responsive by Power Foam and Auxetic 2.0. It demands reasonable technique, but it rewards an advancing attacker with pace, spin and the Coello look.
